Franchising is a special business relationship in which a franchiser, who has developed and tested a “business formula”, allows a franchisee to engage in a business using that “business formula” under a system controlled by the franchisor. Franchisees associate themselves with that business formula by using a trade mark, advertising or a commercial symbol owned by the franchisor. The franchise agreement is the contract which joins the franchisor and the franchisee in business together.
The franchising relationship is therefore very different to other businesses. We understand this relationship and the laws that control it and the franchising industry. We can help you reduce the risks associated with operating a franchise.
